はじめに

チェロの体系について、まず、教則本、練習曲、音階（METHODS/STUDIES/SCALE BOOKS）から転記した。最初は翻訳するつもりだったが、作曲者の一部は読み方すらわからなかったため、一部の作曲者だけ読み方をカタカナ書きしただけである。初出時のみ原綴をカッコ内に表記した。また、Ševčík などは複数読み方が考えられるので、一つに代表させている。曲集、出版社は翻訳しなかった。以下の例では、＜作曲者 / 曲名 / 出版社＞のようになっている。出版社が複数ある場合は、原ページでは / で区切っているが、この訳では | で区切っている。

訳注

• メルクの 20 の練習曲 Op. 11が、 Schirmer 版では III-IV なのに International 版では VII-VIII.となっていることだ。それではローマ数字が表している難易度はどうなのかという話だが、それは翻訳 (4) グレードの説明 で述べた。私が見てみた限り、III-IV ではなく、VII-VIII が適切であろう。
